Former Distinguished Magistrate Exits Sports Show After Decade, Faces Demotion which cite health reasons

Updated: Apr 9

Former Magistrate Ossie Lewis has walked away from the radio sports he headed since 2014 after being hit with a demotion.

According to a letter he received, it highlighted “consideration of health”, a discussion Mr Lewis says was never held between himself and that company’s CEO.

In his response letter Mr Lewis asks “Have you ever really considered my health? You have never once enquired from me about my health. Do you have a medical report on my state of health?”

He further stated “You have tried to portray yourself as a believer/practitioner of natural justice and FairPlay. What about my right?”

Management at that company has since put a co-host as lead on that program, a decision Mr Lewis feels was met through devious works.

Ossie Lewis is a former magistrate from Dominica. His role involved presiding over legal proceedings, such as hearings and trials, and ensuring that justice was administered fairly according to the law. He played a crucial role in the judicial system by adjudicating cases and making decisions based on evidence presented in court.
