On Friday, an Inter Caribbean flight experienced an engine failure mid-flight, prompting the crew to declare an emergency.
The incident occurred during the flight from Douglas -Charles Airport, Dominica to Grantley Adam’s International Airport, Barbados. The flight crew promptly notified air traffic control and followed emergency procedures, including diverting the aircraft back to Douglas-Charles airport, where it landed safely.
Fortunately , there were no reported injuries. Inter Caribbean Airlines has launched an investigation into the cause of the engine failure to prevent similar incidents in the future.
