The Roosevelt Skerrit Portsmouth Bombers Football Club successfully held its club elections on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Portsmouth Secondary School. The meeting brought together community members, players, and stakeholders to elect a new executive committee that will guide the club’s future development and success.
The newly elected executive committee members are as follows:
· President: Jerry Williams
· Vice President: Heinrich G. Anselm
· Treasurer: Julius Peter
· Secretary: Jewel Hamilton
· Media Personnel: Maurissa Andrew
· Youth Coordinator: Andy Burkard
· Women’s Coordinator: Antonia Hector
· Committee Member 1: Adenaurer Douglas
· Committee Member 2: Johanson Bridet
· Committee Member 3: Earl Matthew
· Head Coach: Oris Mills
The meeting commenced with a brief history of the club, highlighting its achievements and contributions to the local football community. Following this, attendees engaged in a democratic process to select individuals they believed would best lead the club toward growth and success.
Each newly elected member took the opportunity to introduce themselves and share their vision for the future of the club. The discussion centered on strengthening the club’s structure, enhancing player development, and fostering greater community engagement.
After the elections, the executive committee held an initial planning session to outline immediate action plans.
Club President Jerry Williams expressed his enthusiasm about the club’s direction, stating, “This new executive committee is dedicated to building a stronger foundation for Portsmouth Bombers FC. We are committed to developing young talent, improving our club’s infrastructure, and ensuring that our community remains engaged in the growth of football in Portsmouth.”
The club is also incredibly proud to have Oris Mills as our Head Coach. Coach Mills is a highly certified professional with a CONCACAF B License, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the team. His dedication to player development and strategic planning will be invaluable in leading the club to greater success. We look forward to seeing the impact of his leadership both on and off the field.
